The hCG Protocol

Put simply, the hCG protocol consists of a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) in combination with homeopathic hCG drops. The hCG taken in conjunction with the 500 calorie diet liberates fat into the bloodstream and creates satiety as if you had eaten a big fatty meal – which is why people report having little or no appetite on this protocol.

What is hCG?

hCG signals to the brain (hypothalamus) to release stored fat. The hypothalamus is a gland in the brain, which controls hunger and body weight. The hCG hormone is naturally produced by every cell of the body in women, men and children and decreases in abundance with age. In women, hCG is released during pregnancy to release fat for a developing foetus. In men, hCG can raise testosterone by mimicking luteinizing hormone.
